Prvi vrh (first peak) of Marjan is located at the intersection of the Marjan Steps and the Juraj Kolombatović Walkway, where the flag is raised on Europe Day and Marjan Day, 9 May. A cross was located here once, but it was removed due to the construction of a meteorological station. In 1953, during the construction of a water supply pipeline to Marjan, a public drinking water fountain with a memorial panel was built on this peak.
